With all the learning and changing I've done in the past hmm...two years, something really popped out at me in one of my lessons for my weekly bible study this week. I've joined a different group of ladies to do a morning small group on Wednesdays and I love it. They are so welcoming and I'm learning a lot from them- and Him of course. I know most of them or their faces at least from Sunday mornings but it's different getting into an intimate small group.
The study is called In the Dust of the Rabbi: Becoming a Disciple. Here's what jumped out at me that I thought I'd share:
If we expect to make the impact like the disciples did, then we must learn to be like them--that is, like Jesus. The life of faith is not a vague, otherworldly experience. Rather, it is being faithful to God right now, in the place and time in which he has put us. God wants his people in the game, not on the bench.
Which one are you? I know which one I try my hardest to be every day!
Love you all, Diana
