We got back home on Sunday evening. We had a grand time at my parent's house and then in Tennessee. Mom and I volunteered for VBS at their new church the week of June 16-20. It was a nice week for us to spend together. The children really enjoyed VBS every morning and Mom and I did too. We were the craft ladies. She had some pretty ambitious projects planned and together we made them all happen.
Tracy came down on the 20th and we all went to a resort with our timeshare on the 24th. It was a lake community in the mountains between Knoxville and Nashville. We swam, golfed, boated, fished, and just had a fun time. Mason said he wanted to stay there forever. Dad got bikes for them to have at their house and he took them to Tenn. for them. They had a nice time riding those there too.
One major thing that I did was drop the camera in the lake! The five of us were on a paddle boat and Madison was in a big hurry to get off and go to the beach area. She decided to jump from the boat to the dock. I thought she was falling off the boat (my back was to her) and I instinctively grabbed for her and next thing I know I see in slow motion the camera flying into the lake! Grr! It was the first time the children heard me say a curse word. I quickly apologized for my slip of the tongue, the camera, the whole incident! :) and went to unloading the other two and our junk off the boat. Tracy and I just shook our heads at the whole thing. The kids working the rental area had a Gopher and they got it out of the shallow water. The camera is history but the SD card still works. I'll put the last photos on here sometime soon. They were taken on the boat, about five minutes before the camera met it's demise...
We're getting back into our routine. We all miss Grammy and Poppy. It's so restful and cozy there. Gracie loved it too. She sends her love to her Papa. She's missing the pond I'm sure. :)
