Mason had his first soccer game last night. They had a good time. They were clapping during the game and hugging each other when someone made a good play. They seem to be a pretty nice bunch of kids. Mason had the yellow shirt on for a bit while he got a turn to be goalie. The score ending up being 4-0 in favor of Mason's team but he never asked us about that at all! That's just the way I like it for now. It was for fun. :) Nanny and Granddaddy and Aunt Marsha and Uncle Paul came out to watch "our game" as Madison squealed with delight. She was thrilled to watch Boyd and Dot following us out the driveway and to "our game, Mason".
We are leaving on an airplane tomorrow! We're off to Walt Disney World for our first trip with the children. Tracy went there about 9 years ago when he went to Florida to pick up a new fire truck. I went with my mom and dad in 1988. So, this is a first family trip to Disney and we're all very excited! We'll post photos when we return! Everyone have a good week.
BTW, there's an article in the Free-Lance Star today about therapy dogs that helped out with grief therapy at the Pentagon after 9/11. Those people are a super bunch of folks who Gracie and I volunteer with at the hospital and libraries. It's a nice article as are the dogs and people. And, today of all days, Never Forget.
