December is in full swing

The children are really enjoying the anticipation of Christmas. We have been reading lots of Christmas stories in preparation of the big day. We have spent the past two Sunday nights reading about the coming of the Christ Child. We are looking forward to God's promise. 2 Peter 3:13
They have all been very excited about our Advent wreath and readings and prayers involved in our Advent Sundays. Madison came home last Monday and told me that "Mrs. Raymond doesn't have her own Advent wreath. She didn't get one." She sounded a bit concerned about it. Evidently they discussed it at school. I explained to her that a lot of people look forward to it being lit at church and don't have one at home and that's ok. I just hoped that that opened a door for Mrs. Raymond to have a bit of a discussion about it possibly. Anything child initiated and she's ok. :)
We had a pretty busy weekend. I took the children to their school for a breakfast with Santa and then to their holiday shop. The photo is Madison and her good friend Lexi from her class. That was the first time EVER that Emma Grace had her picture taken with Santa; well, without screaming that is. We then went to a beautiful musical service at church on Sunday morning and to the multiples Christmas party on Sunday afternoon. That was at the Playroom here in town. It's an indoor playground with inflatables, games, dress up stuff, etc. The kids loved it. Stacey's mom and dad came by as Santa's helpers. They're in the photo with Mason, Madison, Emma Grace, Jack and Caroline. We missed getting little Lauren in there. She was pretty ready for bed by then. We missed Stacey. She was in San Diego on business. Glad you're back girl! Missed you too Manda and Jason, hope you're back too
