We've come a long way

Mason and I spent a little time together today. We went to the hospital to be with Jack. He had his tonsils and adenoids removed this morning. As you may recall, Mason had that done in May. He wanted to be there for his buddy. On our way down there my cell rings and it's John at the hospital. He said they had Jack all prepped and ready but that Jack wanted to talk to Mason. Their love is mutual evidently. Mason told him that he'd be alright and that he loved him. It was quick and to the point. It's touching how they are ingrained in each other's brains-all four of the twins. Not a day goes by that mine don't ask to see Jack and Caroline, go to their house, have a playdate, invite them for dinner or whatever. Anything as long as it involves them!

Stacey and I had a laugh while she was in the hospital bed holding Jack after surgery. She said to him as he was kinda out of it, "The last time I was in a hospital bed with you, you were IN my belly, not on it!" It was neat to remember waddling up there, VERY pregnant myself, to visit her while she was on those 9 long weeks of bedrest with them. Boy, we've come a long way.

We now wait anxiously for the birth of Lauren Jenna, John and Stacey's third child. Stacey leaves on Wednesday for Mississippi to be there for her birth unless Meghan goes into labor before then. What a Godsend she is. The sixth of these children of ours to be loved endlessly. And spoiled too, of course! God Bless them all.
