Nanny was right all along

Tracy's mom has been telling me for years that I need to enter the girls in a baby beauty pageant. I just kinda always poohpooh her and don't give it any thought. Every summer that the fair rolls around she mentions it, usually while looking at the picture of the winning Tiny Miss Fred. Fair. "They'd win Diana. I'm telling you. They'd win."

Well, I decided on Thursday night to enter Madison and Emma Grace in a benefit pageant for Grace Oughton. It was yesterday afternoon. We rummaged through the closets and found dresses that would suffice. Upon the insistence of Stacey, Emma's godmother, I put her in her handmade vintage pillowcase dress. Stacey made it for her. Madison wore her favorite dress as of late, a flowing blue one with butterflies. Gotta love Costco clothes! They both also had to do a casual wear outfit and those were coordinating from Gymboree; pretty cute.

So, we have Emma Grace at Baby Miss Fredericksburg 2nd Runner Up and Madison at Tiny Miss Fredericksburg! Photos to follow later. Tracy was only able to video it. The digital camera's batteries died! I'll get pics from Chris Peek.
