Some of you may have heard us speak of our friends Rick and Tisa. They live in San Diego and we've gone to visit them a few times. We've also gone to Las Vegas with them too. They are great friends and their house is in danger of burning down due to the fires out there right now.
We spoke with them last night and Rick had been staying til the last minute to pack their valuables and things they didn't want to lose. They were called on the phone and told to evacuate and then a notice was placed on their mailbox. When he left he said that the fire was heading up the mountain and that some of the trees in their back yard were scorched. This was at 9pm our time.
Tisa is in the hospital for treatment for her cystic fybrosis. She has a partially collapsed lung and a broken rib; all from her coughing to clear her lungs. I can't imagine how helpless she feels being there and not being able to help gather their things all the while knowing their house may go up. Please pray for them that they will be strong together if they did lose their house and that she will improve and be able to be discharged soon. We're hoping to know something this afternoon. Rick is staying at his parent's house for now. I guess it's far enough away that it wasn't threatened. Thanks.
