Uncle Brad finally did it!

My brother, Brad, is 37 and has never been married or engaged to be. He has very strong feelings on marriage and has shared them willingly with all who will listen. He has watched as many friends, acquaintances, colleagues, etc. have married and divorced; some numerous times. His main comment on the subject always seemed to be, "I'm never getting married." Period. With the grumble and groan along with it. That is until Janet meandered into his life....

She's the sister of a friend of his who also lived in Orange County. Stevie and Julie moved to Wytheville and then Brad did about 18months later (+-). Janet already lived there and had for around 16 years. The first time he met her she was laying cinderblock. The second, she was hanging drywall. (I think I may have that right) Tracy says she's one of those women that when you leave for work, you come home and she's built a dining room table or something! I say she's beautiful, well rounded, loveable (she loves our kids and they love her), and he couldn't have picked a better one!

So, she said they were out for a walk in one of their favorite spots at Brad's house and here he drops to one knee! My brother! As they were under the stars and all, he was well prepared with a flashlight and she said yes! I knew he had a brain in there somewhere. :) Congratulations Brad and Janet! And thanks Brad, I've always wanted a sister. She's just right. I love you guys.

I know Janet is going to be fuming that I posted these pictures. I couldn't find that perfect one of you guys under the tree in the front yard! Sorry! Truth be known, she'd probably been laying tile or something before that top photo was taken...
