Tomorrow is the 2008 Frazier-Mason Some Gave All Rally. It was planned that I would have support from a seasoned Soldier's Angel from northern Va. I heard from her earlier in the week and unfortunately she has a broken femur and won't make it. She had surgery yesterday and I've not spoken with her. So, I'm on my own tomorrow.
This all started out as an idea to spread the word on the many ways to support the troops. That's just what I'm going to do. I'm going to educate people on the fact that there's not just one way to help. You can adopt a soldier of your very own. That's the more personal way to impact those who are over there. But, there are also 20 teams and programs through Soldiers Angels that one could choose to get involved with as well.
I have info printed up. I have cards for people to sign for the service members. It should be a good day. It will be a hot day. We'll have the tent/canopy packed up and ready to go. Just think, if it's 95 here, it'll have to be about 130 in Iraq. I can handle it. May God sustain and watch over our men and women while they're over there and bring them home safely. Amen.
