Wish Lists

Here's something funny to end the day. We were over at the in-law's house for dinner and they gave the kids some goodies for Halloween. They've had goodie bags all week I think. Nanny gave them each a card that had two dollar bills. Emma was so thrilled with this. They all were but really Emma.
Granddaddy started asking them what they were going to buy with the money. The other day we were talking about making a list for Christmas and Madison only wants a doll that looks like her. She's been asking for one since last summer (2007). So she told him that's what she was going to buy. She means an American Girl doll that's personalized to look like her. She's just a tad short on the money.
Mason didn't come up with any definitive answer but Emma's was a hoot! She said (very loudly because he had taken his hearing aids out), "Granddaddy I want a Pee Baby!" He then had to clarify just what that was. She explained that it is a baby that pees and has a bottle to drink real water from. She must have said Pee Baby 10 times when she was talking about it and my brother-in-law and I were just cracking up at her. She had a terrible time explaining it to him.
In the end, she was telling him that's what he needed to get for her and that she "had a great idea, I'm going to give this money to God! We'll take it down to the mailbox and send it to him." I don't know where that came from but I guess she figured she didn't need it because Granddaddy was going to get what she wanted so she'd pass the money on.
I took that opportunity to explain that we couldn't mail it to God but that we do honor him by giving him our offering in the sanctuary and in Sunday School at church. She took that. Man she makes me laugh!
