Jumping in the leaves

I started something yesterday. I started raking up a pretty big pile of leaves in the backyard and the children found me back there in the act. All three dogs were already with me and were pretty excited to see what the pile was for, once the children showed them. Even though it's a little blurry, I love the shot with Emma and Blaze squinting as the leaves fall on their heads. The blur is Madison's sleeve as she's "raining leaves" down on them. And look at Gracie smiling with those pups on either side of her! All six of those crazy kids were jumping and rolling in those leaves!
I remember the fun I had outside as a child, jumping in leaves for hours on end. My three tried to run out back this morning before school to "go to the leaves". Someone had to remind them that we were going to meet the bus soon. Sorry! Of course, that's the first place they went when we got home from school today!

So fun! I too remember playing in the leaves for HOURS on end. We would set up the pile right under the rope swing attached to a big tree and free fall into the pile. Hope the kids have those same fond memories! Love you guys!
